Friday, November 8, 2019

Happy November, y'all! You can probably guess what McKenna and I have been up to based on the title of this post. I'll be honest: potty training a toddler kinda scared me. As a first time mom, it's always scary when your child is ready for the next step in becoming independent. Today I'm sharing our essentials for potty training that we always keep on hand.

  • Flushable wipes - These definitely make it much easier to dispose of any waste.
  • Pull ups - Our favorites are the Easy-Ups from Pampers. They are so soft and the designs are super cute! I think they run small so we size up.
  • Clorox wipes - I love these for quick, easy clean up of any messes.
  • Potty books - McKenna's absolute favorite is this Sesame Street potty book!
  • Potty chart + stickers - We started potty training with a reward system and saw pretty good results. As time goes on we haven't focused on it so much, but it definitely helped in the beginning. We use this potty chart and stickers from the dollar store.
  • Extra undies - Accidents happen so extra undies with her favorite characters are a must.
  • A potty! - This fun Elmo potty really helped McKenna get more interested in potty training.
We haven't started trying to potty train while on the go, so if you have any items that helped you and your little ones in that department please leave them in the comments below! Thanks so much for reading and don't forget to share this post if you found it helpful!
