With the taste of spring weather we got this past month, it's only natural that getting out of the house and enjoying the warmer temperatures is at the front of my mind. This week I'm sharing what's on McKenna's spring bucket list featuring 30 great ideas to get out and about with your little one this season!

I truly can't believe McKenna is turning 3 years old this year. I feel like we were just celebrating her 1st birthday yesterday! Even though we didn't have a party for her 2nd birthday, we still did a "Two Two" Train themed photo shoot for McKenna's birthday using one of my ideas from my Birthday Party Themes for 2-Year Olds post. I am super indecisive and can't pick a theme until the last minute, so I decided to share my list of 3rd birthday themes in case anyone else is a procrastinator like me! Keep reading for 8 birthday party themes for 3-year olds!

Toddlers: they're loud, they're pushy, they're messy, but we love them because they can also be funny, caring, and filled with love. Despite the difficulties of toddlerhood, it is amazing to see them become little people. They're tiny people with real preferences and very real feelings and they pick up information incredibly fast. There are days where I feel like I can see McKenna's brain at work and it's incredible to witness. As a SAHM it's so easy to go throughout my day without stopping to enjoy it and McKenna seems to be the exact opposite so I aspire to be more like her. Today I'm sharing the other 3 reasons why I want to be more like my toddler in 2020!

I've never been a big purse person; give me my keys, wallet, and phone and I'm good to go. Since having McKenna I've become a pack mule and our diaper bag is loaded with just about anything we might ever need. Now that she's older and we don't need to carry as much stuff around, I think it's time to upgrade to something more sophisticated. Today I'm sharing my finds for fashionable tote bags that can easily double as diaper bags!

Happy November, y'all! You can probably guess what McKenna and I have been up to based on the title of this post. I'll be honest: potty training a toddler kinda scared me. As a first time mom, it's always scary when your child is ready for the next step in becoming independent. Today I'm sharing our essentials for potty training that we always keep on hand.

Battling McKenna's eczema has been tough this past year. I can't even begin to tell you about the many different products I've tried and their costs, but seeing her comfortable and not itchy is priceless. This summer we had quite a few flare ups, but I'm so glad to report that I finally found what works for her skin. Keep reading for the 7 products that finally relieved her eczema-prone skin!

Did you know tomorrow is World Book Day? It's a great time (really any time is) to find some new reading material for spring! Reading was such a big part of my childhood growing up, so it's definitely something I want to share with McKenna. I love it when she hands me a book then climbs on my lap for story time. She usually picks the same books over and over (and over) again and that inspired me to write this post. I'm sharing all of her favorites that she never gets tired of hearing!

Before I had McKenna I never really carried a purse; keys, wallet, phone and I was out the door without a second thought. These days I still like to travel light and make sure we only pack the essentials in our diaper bag (which I plan on downsizing very soon). Besides diapers and wipes, there are only 5 things that are must-haves in our diaper bag. Keep reading for the 5 things in our diaper that I can't live without!

Raise your hand if you struggle with a picky eater 🙋🏾 I don't even know how McKenna got to be a picky eater because I ate EVERYTHING while pregnant and breastfeeding and she ate a variety of pureed baby foods from Beech-Nut® Naturals™ before starting table food. I felt completely helpless when she ignored everything on her plate and some days I still feel that way at meal times. After one of my Google search sessions, I came up with a new plan to get my little girl to eat more than fruit and those orange peanut butter crackers. Keep reading to find out how I got my toddler to eat more veggies!

This time last year I was in the thick of planning McKenna's 1st birthday party. The hardest part was deciding on a theme, but I eventually went with "Oh, The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss and I loved how everything came out. This year we're going on vacation instead of throwing a party, but that still hasn't stopped me from scouring Pinterest for 2nd birthday party themes. I compiled a list of all of my favorite themes with some variation of the word "two." Hopefully this list will help any Mamas in the beginning stages of planning a party for their toddlers!

How do you decide what you actually need for YOUR baby? That is a question that only you can answer, but I can help make sure you get the most out of your baby registry with these 10 tips!

I am a night owl in every sense of the word. I get this huge burst of energy around 7:30 when McKenna goes to bed and have this burning desire to do all the things. Instead of staying up all night and not actually getting anything done, I created an ideal nightly schedule that would help me become a better mom during the day. Keep reading to find out the 6 things I do every night to make me a better mom during the day!

I know you're reading the title of this post and thinking, "How?!" or "This is totally clickbait." But I actually got my co-sleeping toddler to sleep in her crib, without crying it out, AFTER ONE DAY! Keep reading for more on how I did it and how you can make sleep training easier for you and your toddler!

It's the start of a new year and that also means it's peak cold and flu season. As parents we do all we can to prevent our little ones from getting sick, but sometimes those pesky germs get the best of us. McKenna and I have already gone through one cold this season and everything on this list made it an easy experience. This year I've got you covered with the top 5 items you need to get through your first cold with a toddler and every one after!

Happy Monday, happy holidays and happy Blogmas/Vlogmas to all my fellow creatives out there! I cannot believe it's finally December, but I'm so glad the most wonderful time of the year is here because Christmas is my second favorite holiday. It's no secret that the moms in all our lives are the real MVPs of the holiday season. They basically make Christmas magical and wonderful without so much as a 'thank you.' This year I've asked a few of my fellow moms what they really wanted for Christmas this year because they deserve it and so much more! Keep reading for their wish lists and be sure to check out their blogs after!

Happy #MotherhoodMonday y'all! Now that McKenna is a toddler I keep getting the question about when we're going to have another child. The answer is always," Not anytime soon!" but that doesn't stop me from thinking about what I would do differently, if given the chance. Happy Monday! I've been super inconsistent with posting on the blog in the past couple of months, but I'm hoping to change all of that with my new posting schedule. From now on I'll be posting twice a week, Monday and Friday, with each day having its own theme. I am declaring Mondays as "Motherhood Mondays," where I'll be sharing all of my "mom blog" posts. Fridays are "Fashion Fridays," where I will getting back into what made me want to start this blog in the first place: sharing affordable fashion options so we can all look good together!
Today's "Motherhood Monday" post was inspired by all the books I've been reading lately, which is everything from the "Crazy Rich Asians" trilogy (pretty good) Gabrielle Union's "We're Going to Need More Wine" (a must read!!) to Robert Gailbraith's latest Cormoran Strike novel (couldn't put it down!!!). I absolutely LOVE to read and McKenna loves to as well (Actually, she just looks at the pictures and talks to them and it's SOOO CUTE!). Keep reading for tips on how to get your baby to love reading!

As a first-time mom it took me months to even think of developing a nighttime routine for McKenna. I thought I could just lay her in her bassinet at bedtime and she would magically fall asleep. If I could only redo one thing from her first year I would definitely incorporate a bedtime routine from the start. Since we've started using this tried and true nighttime routine McKenna falls asleep faster and stays asleep longer! Of course, a tried and true nighttime routine isn't complete without using tried and true gentler products from JOHNSON'S®!

Did you know 9 out of 10 babies are missing the good bacteria needed to protect their gut? The good bacteria, B. infantis, has disappeared over generations and babies in the U.S. no longer receive B. infantis at birth due to the unintended consequences of modern medical practices like C-sections, antibiotics, and formula feeding.
