It seems like all the holidays, birthdays, graduations, and weddings happen around this time. The weather is amazing and everybody is down to have a good time so why not celebrate, right? All of these social events means I need to have a place where I can get gifts no matter the occasion. Uncommon Goods has recently been my new go-to online location for unique and handcrafted gifts that support small businesses making environmentally responsible products . The folks at Uncommon Goods believe that there's a story behind every product. The founder, Dave, had a vision to create something that had never existed before—an online marketplace to connect makers and their creations with individuals looking for truly special goods, regardless of the physical distance between the maker and the shopper. I don't know about you guys, but I'm already dreaming about summer. I plan on hitting the beach as much as I possibly can before fall rears it's big, dreary head. Before I can do that I'll need to get in tip-top shape! I don't want to lose a ton of weight, but I want to feel confident and comfortable in whatever swimsuit I decide to buy. I've been skipping out on my yoga workouts, but I decided to get earlier each day just to squeeze them in my day. I do my workouts at home, but that doesn't mean that I can't throw on a cute outfit and sweat it out. I actually think a new workout wardrobe might be just the thing to get me back in the swing of things. Keep reading to check out my wishlist of my current workout wants!

If you had to choose one neutral color to wear for the rest of your life, what would it be? Mine would be navy blue with black being a veryclose second. It might (or not) come as a shock that one of my favorite colors for any season is this particular shade of dark blue. This versatile yet simple shade has slowly taken over my closet the past few months, but I'm not complaining one bit. I love that I can pair this color with so many other shades for spring - Rose Quartz, Serenity, white, red, coral, gold, nude, neon pink - the possibilities are endless! One of my most favorite navy color combinations is with cognac and gold. The colors compliment each other so well and just has a preppy feel to it. I'll definitely be wearing (and posting) lots of navy blue looks this season. Keep reading to see my extremely casual take on one of my favorite colors!

Honestly, this favorites list should just be called "All Things Gold," because I've seriously been obsessed with the color lately. I've bought gold decorations for my living room and gold office supplies for the "dream office" I've been curating (I can't wait to show you guys when it's all finished!). As I'm typing this I realize that my love for the color gold is slowly dwindling since I've found a rose gold stapler at Target during my last visit. I didn't know I needed this stapler (or color) in my life until then! I may have to rethink my gold and white office idea...Anyways, lucky for you guys I've been loving things that aren't gold or rose gold too and I can't wait to share them with you. April is here and spring is in full swing! That totally rhymed and I promise it's the last time I do that...maybe. Spring to me means the return of gorgeous weather, allergy season, and new fashion. This new month also means a new Currently link-up with Anne from Anne in Residence and Jenna from Gold & Bloom. This is one of my favorite link-ups and I wouldn't miss it for anything because Jenna and Anne are the sweetest ladies. I love that they take the time to read and comment on blogs from their link-up! It amazes me how they come up with ideas for each month because I can barely think about what I plan on posting next week. The prompts require me to think a little more because I don't want to put out a post that seems rushed or insincere. The weather in VA is finally warming up which means I can put away my heavy sweaters and boots and pull out the shorts and sandals! I have a list of trends and items that I can't wait to add to my closet this season, but before I can do that I have to make room for them. I try to pack away my winter clothes and throw away or donate any items I know I won't wear next year. It's so much easier to shove those parkas and duck boots in the back of my closet and forget about them until next winter. "Spring cleaning" your closet can be a daunting task and it's an important part of updating your wardrobe that most of us dread. How do you know what to donate, what to keep, and what to throw away? Have no fear my friends, I'm here to help you figure it all out! Keep reading to see my 5 tips for preparing your closet for spring and summer!
