It's no secret that fall is my favorite season for fashion. I love everything about it: the colors (Hey there spicy mustard!), the layering (Hello puffer vest, my old friend!), and the new textures (Looking sexy there, velvet!). Lately, I haven't had much of a chance to experiment with my wardrobe since I have been living in my fall "mom uniform." All my moms out there know exactly what I'm talking about: sweat/yoga pants, oversized sweaters, and anything that isn't covered in spit up. On the fall days that I want to look more put together while running errands or taking my daughter to the doctor, I reach for these 4 new mom fall staples.

Sweater Weather + Nailing the Athleisure Sneaker Trend

Wednesday, October 19, 2016

My all-time favorite clothing item will always be sneakers. I love collecting the latest and greatest pairs out there and styling them in different ways. You can only imagine my giddiness last year when the 'athleisure' trend swept the runways and streets at Fashion Week. As a self-proclaimed 'sneakerhead' I'm not afraid of trying different colorways or styles and I pride myself on stepping outside of the box when it comes to my footwear. Styling sneakers can be hard especially with all the options available. Today on I'm sharing four tips on how to put together an effortless outfit with athletic sneakers using items you probably already have in your closet!

A fashion post of the 5 types of shoes that should be in your closet for summer '16 featuring athletic slides, laser cut wedges, espadrilles, embellished footwear, and basics.

Even though it's rained for 3 weeks straight here in RVA, I'm really looking forward to the warmer weather that's headed our way. I love my Hunter boots and duck boots, but I think it's time to retire them and slip into something a little more comfortable. Sandals and flats are one of my favorite parts of spring and summer fashion - there's always so many to choose from! This season I am definitely looking to invest in a few more pairs. I'm really digging the athletic slides, laser cut wedges, espadrilles, tassel and pom pom embellished footwear and simple closet staple sandals. Keep reading to see the 5 types of shoes you need in your closet this summer!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm already dreaming about summer. I plan on hitting the beach as much as I possibly can before fall rears it's big, dreary head. Before I can do that I'll need to get in tip-top shape! I don't want to lose a ton of weight, but I want to feel confident and comfortable in whatever swimsuit I decide to buy. I've been skipping out on my yoga workouts, but I decided to get earlier each day just to squeeze them in my day. I do my workouts at home, but that doesn't mean that I can't throw on a cute outfit and sweat it out. I actually think a new workout wardrobe might be just the thing to get me back in the swing of things. Keep reading to check out my wishlist of my current workout wants!

Wishlist Wednesday: St. Patty's Day Picks

Wednesday, March 16, 2016

One of my favorite things about St. Patrick's Day isn't the parties or parades; it's the opportunity to wear the color green. There are so many shades that it's hard to pick when March 17th comes around.  From olive to emerald to sea foam, there's no shade of green that I don't like. I even love annoying neon, highlighter green! Lucky for you I've compiled a list of my favorite green items that can be worn any time of year.

Wishlist Wednesday: Sneaker Edition

Wednesday, February 24, 2016

If I could pick one shoe to wear everyday for the rest of my life, it would be a pair of sneakers. They're super comfortable and, with the "athleisure" trend that's going on now, appropriate for more than just going to the gym! My trusty Roshe Run One's have been my go-to shoes lately, but now I'm looking for a new pair to fill the void in my sneaker heart. From slip-on skate shoes to workout essentials, these are the shoes that I need to jump into my closet...like right now!

Daytime Rocksbox Look

Saturday, September 19, 2015

T-shirt dresses have been my favorite item this past summer. I searched everywhere for the perfect one and lucked out with this gem from Forever 21. It's unbelievably soft and can be paired with soooo many things! For this outfit I put on my trusty Roshe Runs and tied a chambray shirt around my waist for a laid back look. This look also features two of the items I received in my latest Rocksbox. I'm head over heels for these Kendra Scott drusy earrings and the Jill Michael bracelet isn't half bad. Check back next week for my night look featuring the last piece of my Rocksbox! I'm afraid I'll have to retire this amazing shirt dress until next spring. There's a chill in the air which means fall is really around the corner! What's your favorite part of summer that you're going to miss this fall? Tell me in the comments below!

V-neck Boyfriend Tee Target | Tempo Running Shorts Nike | Internationalist Sneakers Nike | Fitbit Charge
I can't believe I've been living in Ashland for little over a year and haven't explored past my back yard! This little park is one of my favorite local spots and I was super excited to take photos here. It's got the cutest little playground and it's within walking distance to my apartment. I can't wait to bring my nephew here soon! My boyfriend and I took a pretty long walk before ending up here so I opted for my favorite pair of Nike Tempo running shorts. I seriously lived in these all summer! Since I wanted to make my new Nike Internationalists the star of the outfit, I opted for a simple black v-neck shirt. All black is one of my favorite ensembles no matter the season! What are some of your favorite spots to take pictures? Leave them in the comments below!
Here's an 'artistic' shot from our park adventure. Click to see more of my photography on Flickr!

J. Crew Factory Quilted Puffer Vest | Street Level Reversible Faux Leather Tote & Wristlet
Nike Internationalist Casual Sneakers | New Balance for J. Crew 620 Sneakers

Here's a list of the items I'm currently lusting for! I already have a couple of printed puffer vests for Fall, but a solid one goes with so many more things. I had a hard time deciding between black and navy and decided I wanted to incorporate more color into my wardrobe this season. I've seen so many bloggers with this reversible tote bag and I can see why! It comes in a plethora of colors and the price doesn't hurt either (It's $48!). Sneakers are my go-to shoes during the Fall so this list wouldn't be complete without 1 or 2 pairs. These Nike Internationlist sneakers feature one of my favorite colors: mint and you can't go wrong with a good pair of Nikes. I love the muted, monochromatic look of these New Balance for J. Crew sneakers. The accents of gold keep these shoes from being totally boring. What's on your wishlist? Let me know in the comments below!

Everyday Uniform

Monday, August 17, 2015

When I'm not at work I'm usually at home in my pajamas. When I'm not in my pajamas and I feel the need to go out I always reach for a good t-shirt and a pair of sneakers. Roshe Runs have quickly become my favorites since they're sooooooo comfortable and go with almost anything! I have 3 pairs of black and white ones and I don't regret it at all.

T-Shirt Married to the MOB | Jeans Target | Sneakers Nike Roshe Run One | Bracelet Fitbit Charge

Another thing I always wear is my Fitbit Charge. I love keeping track of my steps and how many calories I've burned throughout the day. Whether I'm dressing up or dressing down this thing is ALWAYS on my wrist. Its not the prettiest accessory, but I can't go a day without it.

xoxo,
