It's no secret that fall is my favorite season for fashion. I love everything about it: the colors (Hey there spicy mustard!), the layering (Hello puffer vest, my old friend!), and the new textures (Looking sexy there, velvet!). Lately, I haven't had much of a chance to experiment with my wardrobe since I have been living in my fall "mom uniform." All my moms out there know exactly what I'm talking about: sweat/yoga pants, oversized sweaters, and anything that isn't covered in spit up. On the fall days that I want to look more put together while running errands or taking my daughter to the doctor, I reach for these 4 new mom fall staples.
A denim jacket
A denim jacket is a must-have in your closet whether you're a new mom or not! Not only does it keep me warm on chilly fall mornings, but it looks cute tied around my waist when it gets warmer.
striped shirt
This super simple basic can be dressed up or down! The v-neck cut of this tee does make it easier to nurse my daughter in public when I need to.
Comfy pants
These soft cargo pants are a step up from the usual leggings and sweatpants you might wear around this time. They are also on sale which is a huge plus for this mama!
Stylish yet functional sneakers
If I'm going to wear sneakers, they need to be cute AND comfy. These Nike Roshe Run sneakers are a staple in my closet and I buy a new pair every year because I love them so much! They make great workout shoes and they are still stylish enough for casual, athleisure looks.
