I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving with your family and friends! My latest read is from Robert Galbraith (aka J. K. Rowling!) and his (her?) latest installment in the Cormoran Strike series, Career of Evil. I have to tell you that I've been waiting for this book ever since I finished the last two, Cuckoo's Calling and The Silkworm. I also have to admit that I forgot that it came out and rushed to Barnes & Noble as soon as I could to get a copy. I don't own too many physical copies of books, but this series is worth going out and buying. Keep reading to see my final thoughts on this book!

This week's Save vs Splurge is all about those duck boots you're seeing all over Instagram and Pinterest. They're a great alternative to the LL Bean boots that are always backordered around this time of year. They're also the perfect boot for rain or snow because of their durable materials. I own a pair from Sperry Top-Sider and I love them for rainy days and I can't wait to wear them when the snow hits the ground. I'll be comparing a pair from Sperry Top-Sider with a pair from Steve Madden. Keep reading to see if my favorite boots hold up against the competition!

I hope you guys enjoyed yesterday's Edgy Friendsgiving outfit and Monday's Traveling Thanksgiving look (If you haven't seen them definitely check them out!). Today's outfit is all about school spirit! If you're coming home from your first or even last year away at college, why not show a little school spirit?
I received these House of Harlow 1960 Meteora earrings and Melinda Maria Cade Pave ring in my latest Rocksbox set. They're the perfect gold accessories for this easy game day look! Check the blog next week for my full review of all the items I received.
In case you didn't know, I attended Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) for college and it was an awesome opportunity that I wouldn't trade for anything. I love to represent the school everywhere I go so I can't resist anything black or gold. I spotted this top at Victoria's Secret and I knew I had to have it! I love the sparkle on the letters; it adds the perfect girly touch to this super soft long sleeve tee. I added my favorite boyfriend jeans and my all-time favorite Roshe Runs for a laid back look that's perfect for going to the Siegel Center for Saturday's game versus ODU. Go Rams!
Have a great Wednesday, guys!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Holiday Outfit Series! Yesterday's post on a Traveling Thanksgiving was all about comfort. Today is about looking like a rockstar while attending a cozy Friendsgiving. I'm so proud of this look because I kinda came up with it at the last minute and I think it looks fabulous. I'm a huge procrastinator and I do my best work under pressure haha.
Last year my friends hosted our first annual Friendsgiving and it was so much fun! It was a potluck and everyone brought a dish and we sat around and talked and played Cards Against Humanity. This year is my turn to host and I'm super excited to have all my friends over for a party. Today's outfit is a bit like my group of friends - edgy, preppy, and stylish! The buffalo plaid and herringbone vest seemed like an easy way to introduce pattern mixing and I decided to keep the bottom simple with all black. I think this outfit would also be nice with a pair Timberland boots and a beanie for a bit of masculine edge. What would you wear to a Friendsgiving party with all your closest pals? Leave your answers in the comments below!

Every day this week I'll be sharing outfits inspired by Thanksgiving! Its my first time trying something like this so I'm super excited to share all of my outfit ideas with you. Make sure you check back everyday this week for an outfit suitable for any Thanksgiving activity!
Since I've moved I have to travel about 2 hours to get home for Thanksgiving, which isn't terrible if I leave the night before or super early in the morning. I love to make playlists for the drive and jam out as I zoom down I-95 South. I also love to be comfortable which is why I chose this dress! It's so stretchy and soft and perfect for sitting in a car for long periods of time. It's a little drapey and oversized around the middle, great for stuffing yourself with delicious food and still looking great. If you're worried about it being extra chilly, a cute peacoat and tights would also look great with this. What's your favorite outfit for traveling? Tell me in the comments below and have a great Monday!

Truly My Way is back! In case this is your first time reading this Truly My Way is a way for me to document my "adventures" in blogging. I've talked about using StumbleUpon, scheduling content, and increasing Instagram traffic. I can honestly say I've missed concentrating on one aspect of blogging per week, but in order to grow multitasking is a must! Here are my favorite blogging apps that help me do just that!
Save vs Splurge - Puffer Vests
I've officially deemed Sundays as Save vs Splurge Sundays! That means a new Save vs Splurge post every Sunday PLUS a Truly My Way post!! If you couldn't tell about by the amount of exclamation points I'm super excited about all the new content coming to the blog. In fact, I'll be starting an awesome new series tomorrow so check back then to see what it is!
This week's Save vs Splurge is all about puffer vests! They provide just the right amount of extra warmth when you don't want to wear a jacket or coat. I love layering them over flannels, sweatshirts and long sleeve tees when I can't be bothered to decide on outerwear. I'll be comparing two great options, one from J. Crew Factory and the other from Old Navy. Keep reading to see my top pick!

GET THE LOOK:
I never thought camo would be a staple for me, but living in the South almost means it has to be! This camo t-shirt goes with almost everything and I find myself reaching for it more often than not (Don't believe me? Just check out my Crazy for Camo post!). It seemed like a no-brainer to layer my favorite chambray shirt over it and throw on a pair of black pants. My black flower statement necklace makes another fall appearance. I think it's easily become one of my favorite jewelry pieces this season! What print has become an expected staple in your closet this fall? Leave your answers in the comments below!
