Straight Outta...

Raiders Tee  | Gray Skirt  | Jordan XII Low | Gold Necklace

You probably can't tell from my previous posts but I LOVE sneakers. New Balance, Nike, Adidas, Reebok, I love them all! This look was 100% inspired by the movie "Straight Outta Compton." Its a bio-pic about the hip hop group NWA. Throughout the 90s they could always be seen wearing black and grey with gold chains and they always repped their hometown by wearing Raiders or LA Kings apparel. I haven't seen it yet, but it's definitely on my Must See list! The t-shirt actually belongs to my boyfriend (shhhh!), but he never wears it so I don't feel guilty for borrowing it. What movie are you dying to see? Let me know in the comments below!

Draped Skirt

Thursday, August 27, 2015

Summer is coming to a close and I must admit that I'm not sad about it one bit. Summer is one the busier times in my life with work and (lack of) social life. The only thing I'll miss is the warmer weather and chances to wear outfits like this. Animal print is one of my guilty pleasures. I'd wear it everyday if I could! I decided to dress it up with an asymmetrical draped skirt I bought off eBay. It's so edgy and comfy I'm a little disappointed that I didn't try to wear it more this summer.

To keep the look casual I opted for a pair of gladiator sandals, but I could easily see myself throwing on a pair of wedges to make this more dressy. I rarely use purses during the summer, but as the weather cools down I find myself carrying around a lot more. This large tote from H&M is perfect for all the bits and bobs that I need to lug around!

Fall is Coming!

Striped Shirt J. Crew | Cargo Pants Target | Sneakers Converse

There was a chill in the air this morning that made me smile deep inside. Fall is my FAVORITE season and I'm so happy it's almost here. I can't wait to wear cute boots, sweaters and jackets! These cargo pants are a staple transitional piece in my wardrobe. I love to pair the olive green with navy and burgundy. Today I wore them with a super comfy J. Crew striped top and my well-worn Converse. I think this look screams 'I'm ready for fall!" What do you think?

Truly My Way - Week 7: Content Scheduling

Sunday, August 23, 2015

Scheduling is a very important part of blogging. You need to schedule time to write, take photos and edit them, plan out blog posts, brainstorm new ideas, etc! Having a content schedule planned out in advance will take a lot of stress and worry out of blogging. I just recently started planning and making a content schedule for my blog. I find it easier than randomly deciding I wanted to post something on any given day. Read on to see my tips for a (somewhat) consistent content schedule!

Camo T-Shirt Target (Similar) | Boyfriend Jeans Mossimo | Lace-Up Wedges Sam & Libby Arianna Sandal (Similar)

Another casual, comfortable outfit from yours truly! I love a good pair of boyfriend jeans and this pair from Target is perfect. I love the distressing on the front and that I can roll them up without looking too mom-ish. I decided to pair them with my wedge sandals from Sam & Libby. Can you believe I've only worn these beauties ONCE? With the summer winding down I'm trying to get as much use out of them as possible.

I first saw this skirt on Sugar and Something's blog and it's been on my mind ever since. Since it was an old post, I knew I wouldn't be able to find the skirt anywhere :( Thanks to the powers that be I found the skirt on Vinted! I told you guys I loved this app!! If you don't have it I highly encourage you to check it out.

Everyday Uniform

Monday, August 17, 2015

When I'm not at work I'm usually at home in my pajamas. When I'm not in my pajamas and I feel the need to go out I always reach for a good t-shirt and a pair of sneakers. Roshe Runs have quickly become my favorites since they're sooooooo comfortable and go with almost anything! I have 3 pairs of black and white ones and I don't regret it at all.

Another thing I always wear is my Fitbit Charge. I love keeping track of my steps and how many calories I've burned throughout the day. Whether I'm dressing up or dressing down this thing is ALWAYS on my wrist. Its not the prettiest accessory, but I can't go a day without it.

Truly My Way - Week 6: Link Ups

Sunday, August 16, 2015

In case you missed last week's Truly My Way it was about StumbleUpon and how it increased my pageviews exponentially. This week is also about increasing pageviews and comments, but through blogging link ups. A blog link up is exactly what it sounds like: a place to insert your blog link and increase the post's exposure. Continue reading to check out some of my favorite link ups and how I used them.

Prabal Gurung for Target

Wednesday, August 12, 2015

T-Shirt J. Crew | Shorts Prabal Gurung for Target (Similar) | Sandals Mossimo | Necklace Forever 21 (Similar) | Heels Prabal Gurung for Target (Similar)

I got these floral shorts by Prabal Gurung for a steal on my favorite clothing app, Vinted. It's a lot like Poshmark, but offers more affordable clothing options. For every item I sell, I end up buying 4! I decided to dress the shorts down with a basic black t-shirt and sandals. The necklace might be a little much, but I honestly wear it every chance I get!

I thought it would be fun to dress the outfit up with a pair of bright, neon green heels for a night out. Everything about this outfit screams SUMMER! to me. What do you think?

I hope you're having a good Wednesday!!
