4 Fall Staples You Should Never Pay Full Price For

Friday, November 18, 2016

I am all about finding a great deal on quality clothing. Nothing makes me happier than a sale at LOFT or J. Crew. This is especially true for pieces that are essentially staples in my closet during this time of year. Puffer vests, boots, sweaters, and blanket scarves make up the fall uniform and buying these year after year can add up. As a fashion blogger I've learned a thing or two about saving money on essentials that are still high quality and I'm going to share all my tips and tricks to getting the best deal on that new pair of Hunter boots or Free People sweater!

Fun with Flannel

Friday, December 11, 2015

An fall/winter outfit inspiration post featuring a plaid flannel shirt, J. Crew Factory vest, and boots.

Who doesn't love a good, comfy flannel this time of year? I know I do! These babies are so versatile - you can wear them under a vest, sweater, or dress for additional warmth or tied around your waist as an edgy, yet functional accessory. My tip for buying flannels: check out the men's section! The buffalo check flannel I wore in my Edgy Friendsgiving look came from the men's department of H&M. They ran out of my size and I was lucky enough to spot it as I was browsing. It was even cheaper than the women's version! Keep reading to see where I found this awesome flannel shirt!

Holiday Outfit Series - Day 2: An Edgy Friendsgiving

Tuesday, November 17, 2015

Welcome to Day 2 of the Holiday Outfit Series! Yesterday's post on a Traveling Thanksgiving was all about comfort. Today is about looking like a rockstar while attending a cozy Friendsgiving. I'm so proud of this look because I kinda came up with it at the last minute and I think it looks fabulous. I'm a huge procrastinator and I do my best work under pressure haha.

Last year my friends hosted our first annual Friendsgiving and it was so much fun! It was a potluck and everyone brought a dish and we sat around and talked and played Cards Against Humanity. This year is my turn to host and I'm super excited to have all my friends over for a party. Today's outfit is a bit like my group of friends - edgy, preppy, and stylish! The buffalo plaid and herringbone vest seemed like an easy way to introduce pattern mixing and I decided to keep the bottom simple with all black. I think this outfit would also be nice with a pair Timberland boots and a beanie for a bit of masculine edge. What would you wear to a Friendsgiving party with all your closest pals? Holiday Outfit Series - Day 1: A Traveling Thanksgiving

Monday, November 16, 2015

Every day this week I'll be sharing outfits inspired by Thanksgiving! Its my first time trying something like this so I'm super excited to share all of my outfit ideas with you. Make sure you check back everyday this week for an outfit suitable for any Thanksgiving activity!

Since I've moved I have to travel about 2 hours to get home for Thanksgiving, which isn't terrible if I leave the night before or super early in the morning. I love to make playlists for the drive and jam out as I zoom down I-95 South. I also love to be comfortable which is why I chose this dress! It's so stretchy and soft and perfect for sitting in a car for long periods of time. It's a little drapey and oversized around the middle, great for stuffing yourself with delicious food and still looking great. If you're worried about it being extra chilly, a cute peacoat and tights would also look great with this. What's your favorite outfit for traveling? Tell me in the comments below and have a great Monday!

Save vs Splurge - Puffer Vests

Sunday, November 15, 2015

Save vs Splurge - Puffer Vests | Truly Yours, A. | A save vs splurge comparison post for puffer vests featuring an option from J. Crew Factory and one from Old Navy.
I've officially deemed Sundays as Save vs Splurge Sundays! That means a new Save vs Splurge post every Sunday PLUS a Truly My Way post!! If you couldn't tell about by the amount of exclamation points I'm super excited about all the new content coming to the blog. In fact, I'll be starting an awesome new series tomorrow so check back then to see what it is!

This week's Save vs Splurge is all about puffer vests! They provide just the right amount of extra warmth when you don't want to wear a jacket or coat. I love layering them over flannels, sweatshirts and long sleeve tees when I can't be bothered to decide on outerwear. I'll be comparing two great options, one from J. Crew Factory and the other from Old Navy. Keep reading to see my top pick!
