Before I had McKenna I never really carried a purse; keys, wallet, phone and I was out the door without a second thought. These days I still like to travel light and make sure we only pack the essentials in our diaper bag (which I plan on downsizing very soon). Besides diapers and wipes, there are only 5 things that are must-haves in our diaper bag. Keep reading for the 5 things in our diaper that I can't live without!

Board books - McKenna loves to "read," so I always have board books in our diaper bag. I always grab a couple whenever we go shopping and switch them out so she never gets too bored with them. Our favorites are these mini board books from Dr. Seuss.
Reusable water bottles - I like to keep one (or two) of these S'well stainless steel water bottles in our bag at all times. I fill the bigger one (25oz) with water and the smaller one (17oz) with milk, depending on where we're going. They keep drinks cold for 24 hours, so these are a must-have in our diaper bag.
"Mom pouch" - This little clutch is so clutch when it comes to keeping my stuff separate from McKenna's. I usually keep my wallet, lip balm, mini hand sanitizer, portable battery charger, and a few other essentials inside this cute bag.

Reusable snack pouch - I originally bought this to hold nipple shields then used it for McKenna's pacifiers, but now we actually use it for snacks. It's great for reducing the amount of plastic baggies you go through and it can be used for so many other things!
Changing pad - Ours came with our diaper bag and I'm soooo glad it did. I never thought I would use it that much, but I can't imagine going through the past 15 months without it. It comes in handy when going out and there aren't any changing table covers or I have to change a diaper on the fly.
