As any new parent knows here's nothing worse than sitting down for a feeding with your little one and realizing you forgot something. The only thing that could possibly be worse would be your precious bundle of joy crying while you gather all the appropriate materials. Both situations have happened to me, but not anymore! Being the organized person I am I went through my house and set up feeding stations, each stocked with every little thing I could possibly need for feeding my baby. These feeding stations are also perfect for times when I'm not the one feeding McKenna; everything my boyfriend or any other family member needs is right at their fingertips!

These feeding station baskets are super easy to put together because I already had all of the materials! What should did I include in my feeding station basket?

  • Burp cloth or bib - My daughter is a messy eater (is there such a thing as a baby that isn't?), so these are a must if I don't want her clothes or Boppy covered in milk.
  • Breastfeeding pillow - These make feeding so much easier! If you don't want to spend money on one a regular pillow works, too.
  • Swaddle blanket - Is there anything swaddle blankets can't do?! They can be a substitute for burp cloths and bibs and they make great nursing covers and, of course, a light blanket to cover your little one.
  • Feeding time can get a little dull so for entertainment I included a phone charger and small notepad  and pen to jot down any ideas.
  • I always get hungry and thirsty when breastfeeding so a couple bottles of water and a snack that I can eat one-handed (granola bars are my go-to).
  • For breastfeeding sessions I also like to include a nipple shield, lanolin cream, nursing pads, and breast milk storage bags (if pumping afterward).
  • For the times when someone else is feeding the baby I added these amazing NUK Simply Natural bottles I found at Walmart. These bottles are designed to mimic mom's breast, giving baby a close-to-mom feel and they continue the breastfeeding bond, even when I'm not breastfeeding.

NUK Simply Natural bottles offer a natural feeding experience with multiple nipple holes and flexible nipple, just like mom's breast. We currently use the 5 oz bottl, which has a slow flow nipple with 3 holes. Once she gets a little older we'll switch to the 9 oz bottles with nipples that come with 3 to o holes depending on the flow rate. 97% of mothers would recommend NUK Simply Natural and 93% of babies accept this nipple, so these are a must-have for moms who are making the transition back to work. They also make great gifts for moms-to-be along with the rest of NUK's great breastfeeding line!

NUK bottles and accessories can be found in the bottle aisle of your local Walmart's baby section as seen below. Be sure to follow NUK on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest for potential offers and giveaways, especially for Simply Natural September!
