It feels like the month of August went by really slowly, but it's finally September! I'm super excited for this month because it means cooler weather, warmer clothes, and all the quintessential Fall activities like picking pumpkins and watching the leaves change colors! Here's a few of the products I couldn't make it through the month without using.
Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque - In my journey to finding a new deep conditioner I decided to take the plunge with this one. I loved the list of all natural ingredients and that it contained no harsh chemicals. My hair always feels so strong after I use it and my natural curls pop.
St. Ives Even & Bright Pink Lemon & Mandarin Orange Scrub - I've always been a fan of St. Ives scrubs, but found their infamous Apricot Scrub to be too harsh. I'm also a fan of their Green Tea Scrub, but can't seem to find it anywhere! I saw this in my local dollar store and the rest is history. The exfoliants in this scrub are tiny, but gentle and the smell is amazing! I exfoliate a couple times a week with this and follow up with my favorite Mint Julep Mask.
Head & Shoulders Moisture Care Co-Wash for Textured Hair - I've never struggled with dandruff or flakes before, but for some reason my scalp went crazy this summer. I think it was a combination of always being out in the sun and sweating. I'd tried a shampoo/conditioner combo from this brand before and didn't like the way my hair felt like straw after. I was so excited to see they had developed a line for African-American hair on U Love Megz's channel. I was even more excited to see it at the dollar store and quickly scooped up a bottle. I love this stuff because it slides on so easily and makes my hair butter soft. It also keeps all my scalp "issues" at bay. I'm already on my second bottle!
Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies - I've been using these for months now, but I went without them for a while when all the stores in my area ran out. Seriously, how do all the stores run out at the same time?! It convinced me that everybody is a fan of these vitamins. They actually work for making my nails and hair grow and my skin loves them. If you're sensitive to Biotin I would steer away from these as they can cause minor side effects.
