I think we've all had those days where we just feel...blue. We're not really sad, but we know that we don't feel happy. I had a lot of days like this last week due to my depression and most of the time I spend the day curled up in my bed with my Netflix queue. Dealing with depression is not easy and some days are better than others. I've learned that taking care of yourself mentally is such an important part of self care and improving your mental state. I've recently discovered a few ways to combat my "blue days" and make them so much better. Today I'm sharing my personal methods for better days and a cute blue look guaranteed to make any day better!

Losing weight is not an easy task. It takes dedication and some serious discipline. It’s been a couple months since I announced that I was on my weight loss journey with the help of alli® weight loss aid. It hasn’t been easy, but I know it’s for the best. Luckily, I’ve had the support of my boyfriend who is also joining me on my path to health! We’ve made an effort to eat more home-cooked meals and eliminate fast food from our diets, and we’ve also started working out at least 2 times a week. Without him I’d be doing this alone and probably would have failed within the first week. Staying motivated on your weight loss journey can be hard, but I’ve got 10 tips to make it a bit easier to stay on track!

Imagine going through life never being told you're beautiful because you're handicapped, or looking beautiful on the outside but suffering from a chronic debilitating condition on the inside. In today’s society, chronic illness is common. However, the issues facing these people are rarely discussed. While illness is hard on everyone, the perception of women and beauty while being ill is convoluted. If you illness is invisible, you do not receive help for your issues or your illness may be trivialized and if it is obvious people don’t know how to respond.
Lyme Warrior is creating a calendar to feature women who are battling serious chronic illnesses and how their amazing personality and drive keep them moving forward when the cards are stacked against them. We are featuring illnesses from Stroke to Lyme Disease to Huntington's. Women who may look "normal" and beautiful but are fighting serious, some even life threatening diseases. At Lyme warrior, we are ecstatic to present these beautiful women with tremendous spirit and drive, who continue to fight chronic disabling conditions on a daily basis with dignity and grace. These women are Chronic Beauty. Today on the blog I'm sharing a piece by Lauren Lovejoy of Lyme Warrior.
