February Blogging Goals

Friday, February 5, 2016

I can't believe the first month of the year is already over and it's almost Valentine's Day. Where has the time gone?! January was good to me so I'm a little bummed to see it go, but I'm just as excited for February (it's my birthday month!!). Last month I set 5 blogging goals that I wanted to accomplish. I managed to cross a few off my list, but others kinda got away from me. Keep reading to see which ones I knocked out of the park and which ones I need to keep working on!

Here's a recap of January's blogging goals:
1.  Collaborate with another blogger - Semi-completed. I didn't exactly complete this goal, but I did write a guest post for a local blogger in my area, Megan of Sweet Sauce Blog. I'm so excited to see it published on her site and to share it with you!
2.  Increase email subscribers - Completed! The numbers aren't important here, just the fact that I saw growth in this area. This means people are interested in seeing more from me (or maybe just my freebies). Either way it's exciting!
3.  Use link- ups on a consistent basis - Semi-completed. I did use quite a few link ups the past month and saw some growth in pageviews. I didn't use them every day that I could, but I'm working on that.
4.  Send a biweekly/monthly newsletter - Did not complete. Creating the perfect newsletter is a lot harder than it looks!
5.  Develop a consistent posting schedule - Completed! I am now posting 3 times a week - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I've reserved the days in between and weekends for promoting my posts or writing for the upcoming weeks.

Since I'm going back to work full-time my blogging goals are a little short. The first week is never the easiest so I'll need time to adjust. Here are my goals for February:
1.  Work with a local blogger. - I did write a guest post for Sweet Sauce Blog, so this is already semi-accomplished. I would love to work on a collaboration with someone from the RVA fashion scene.
2.  Send 1 newsletter by the end of the month. - Since most of my content is planned out for the month I can focus on perfecting my newsletter!
3.  Answer all comments in a timely manner.  - I've gotten really bad at replying to comments and I miss connecting with the people who take the time to comment on my blog. My aim is to answer comments as they come in.

What are your goals for the month? Let me know in the comments below!
