Now that the weather is FINALLY warming up, I'm trying to get McKenna out of the house as much as possible. Since her dad has an alternative work schedule, a lot of these outings are just the two of us. Since there's no way I can push a stroller and a shopping cart while juggling a diaper bag and purse or change a diaper on the slide at the playground, I've discovered a few must-have items that make getting out of the house this spring so much easier!
I was blessed enough to receive this Ergobaby Omni 360 mesh carrier and it's quickly replaced my Boba Wrap as my go-to baby carrier! I love that it can be easily used so many different ways (front carry, hip carry, AND back carry!). The mesh is perfect keeping McKenna cool on those days with higher temps. I used on a recent trip to Maymont and it was nice being able to interact with and show McKenna the animals without having to carry her in my arms.
I've always wanted this Oh Joy diaper bag, but never got around to buying it. I finally got my hands on it and it's been a real lifesaver when I have to travel solo with McKenna. It's super roomy, so there's plenty of space for all of McKenna's essentials PLUS my own! It also comes with a matching changing pad for those diaper changes that just can't wait. I love that it has backpack and stroller straps to keep it close wherever we go!
Before I got this shopping cart cover, I used to always keep McKenna in her carseat and stroller whenever I went shopping. The shopping cart cover allows her to sit in the basket without touching the germy shopping cart. She loves looking around at all the people and I can shop until I drop without worrying about her being in her car seat too long. It has pockets for my things and loops to keep her toys inside the basket (she's currently in the throwing things stage so this is SUPER important for me right now!).
When we're not out shopping, we can usually be found at the park near our house. This little red wagon is my best friend when McKenna and I take this short walk! She can sit safely inside with a couple of toys or a snack and when we get to the park, it transforms into a bench so we always have a place to sit or change a diaper!
