Today is a very special occasion in my little corner of the Internet: my blog turns 1! Exactly one year ago today, I published my first blog post. It was a Truly My Way post all about my plans for expanding my blog's reach before I even had any. Since then my blog has come a long way: it has evolved into fashion, beauty, and lifestyle blog where I can show my love for shopping, trying out new products, and my random musings. I've had the chance to partner with some amazing brands and meet bloggers who inspire me. One of those bloggers is Stephanie from Drunk on Vogue who shot these gorgeous photos! Rocksbox #6

This past week was great for blogger mail: I got my latest Stitch Fix and this Rocksbox! I was pretty happy that both arrived at the same time so I could plan out my outfits for the upcoming weeks. Finding good jewelry is a struggle these days so I'm glad I have my Rocksbox stylist to help me out. I tell her if I have any special occasion coming up or what I though about my last set and she sends out what I need. My last Rocksbox was perfect for summer and I loved the Moon and Lola pineapple necklace so much that I kept it! My stylist kept that in mind and send over 3 new amazing pieces that I could mix and match with all my summer outfits. Truly Southern Style

If you've been reading my blog since the beginning (or lurking around my outfits tag) you'll know how much I love this Topshop scallop hem miniskirt. I first saw it on A Southern Drawl and I was instantly hooked. I've already styled it for summer here and fall here, so I knew I wanted to style it for winter too. I haven't come up with any ideas on how to style it for spring just yet, but I'll come up with something when the time comes. I'm so glad I bought this skirt when I did as it's become one of the most versatile pieces in my closet; I honestly feel like it works for any occasion and all seasons so I'm definitely getting my money's worth!

Chunky Knit Sweater + Duck Boots

I still can't believe winter is finally here. The Winter Heat Wave of 2015 is hopefully long gone, but you never know. I'm really praying for snow sometime before spring hits. This wintry outfit was the perfect opportunity to show off my latest Rocksbox pieces from Loren Hope and Gorjana. It's supposed to snow today, so I'm hoping to put this outfit in snowball fight action soon! The super thick knit keeps me warm no matter how cold it is outside. A chunky sweater is a great starting point if you're putting together an outfit featuring duck boots!

Hi again! Sorry for the lack of updates; I haven't been feeling very inspired lately. I think it's just holiday stress which means I could use a vacation ASAP.
